 National Slut Day. People call it Halloween when kids are in the picture, but adults know what this day is really about-- women everywhere getting a free pass to wear the most outrageously sexy outfit they can get their hands on.
LearnWomen.com asked San Diego talk show host Johnny O (www.johnnyoshow.com) for his take on National Slut Day...
LearnWomen.com: Johnny O, what's your take on why women dress slutty on Halloween? It's not like you see many women dressed as clowns, doctors, or penguins. It's basically a skin show every October 31st.
Johnny O: Historically, women have had to keep it conservative. Either they live in uptown where gossip can kill, or they have conservative jobs and have been fighting their whole adult lives to move up in a man's world. One slip up in this environment can lower the glass ceiling right to the top of their heads. Yes there are plenty of women that dress provocatively on a regular basis, much to the envy and dismay of their conservative counterparts, who are the first to point out a short skirt or low cut blouse and snarl "look at that slut" -- but the majority of middle and upper class women fear such labeling and so keep it tame.
Thankfully for these ladies there is a get out of jail free day one time per year: Halloween night. Like Navy sailors landing in an Asian port, these women grab their one chance to let loose and go to town. Accountants become naughty nurses, lawyers become sexy angels (oh, the irony), realtors turn into playmates, and teachers turn in their rulers for whips and chains. Being wrapped up in long skirts and and pant suits for a year represses their natural sex drive and when they see the opportunity to unleash it without reproach they seize the opportunity, much to the delight of every red blooded male in their vicinity.
So on this upcoming Halloween weekend make sure to get to a party or event and don't forget to load your digicam with new batteries, because this is your one chance to see Frigid Frances from down the hall bare it all. Happy Slut-it-up Day! |
